A Special Election is any election that is not regularly scheduled. A special election may be held for any purpose authorized or required by law; often to fill a vacancy or for a public measure.
The last day to request an absentee ballot is November 28, 2022. Absentee voting in the office will begin on November 30, 2022 and continue until December 12, 2022.
VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
Pre-registration deadline for voter registration closes at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022. Persons wishing to participate in this election who register to vote after November 28, 2022, will be required to provide proof of identification (i.e. current and valid photo identification card with an expiration date), AND proof of residency in their voting precinct, when they go to the polls on election day or voting in person at the office. If you intend to register and vote on election day, please be patient due to the extra processing it does take more time to complete this process at the polls on election day.
The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on election day - December 13th. All voters within the Bennett Community School District will vote at the Bennett Community Center (American Legion).
