General Election Candidate Filing Information

March 2, 2026

Candidates planning to run in the 2026 General Election may now pick up required filing paperwork in the Auditor's Office or access it online through our Election website. 

The candidate filing period begins March 2, 2026 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 for NPPO candidates, candidates nominated by petition, candidate for non-partisan offices, townships trustees and clerks, and Democratic and Republican parties' nominations to fill ballot vacancies.

The candidate filing period begins March 2, 2026 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 for Ag. Extension and Soil and Water.
